Raven Narratives brings its beloved community storytelling event, inviting audiences to explore the theme Luck through true, first-person stories. Known for creating brave, welcoming spaces, Raven Narratives centers connection over performance and celebrates storytelling as something everyone can take part in.
The theme Luck is intentionally open and expansive. Stories may explore good luck or bad luck, fate and chance, near misses, unexpected timing, inherited fortune, hard-earned survival, or out-of-the-box interpretations of how life unfolds. Some stories are funny or joyful, others tender, raw, or bittersweet—all grounded in lived experience.
There are multiple ways to participate. Community members may tell a true story live on stage, submit a one-page typed story (12-point font) to be read aloud by a host or volunteer, or write a Luck-themed haiku the night of the event. Written story submissions can be emailed in advance to ravennarratives@gmail.com.
Whether attending to share a story, submit writing, or simply listen, audiences are invited into a collective experience rooted in deep listening, empathy, and the power of gathering together. Tickets are available online at sunflowertheatre.org, and advance purchase is recommended.
