The Blues Review - Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 @ 5:30pm Live Streaming Broadcast from the Community Concert Hall Stage The Blues is the very soul of our American culture. Steeped in soulfulness and spirituals, traditional African rhythms and musical traditions, the influence of the blues can be heard in the music of our country. From Rock n' Roll to modern day Jazz, Hip Hop and more, the blues is ingrained in our musical lexicon. "The Blues Review", a Southwest Civic Winds Ensemble, features music from these great traditions. The concert will highlight selections from the most basic blues form all the way to hits from the great American Songbook. Familiar hits made popular by the great Ray Charles, Nina Simone, and Sam & Dave, to name a few, will be performed by Durango's own! Please join us for an evening of soulful blues music and fun!
