DESCRIPTION:Jason Thies is a guitarist\, singer and songwriter based out of Durango\, Colorado. Since 1999 he has released 5 albums of original music-2 of which (People Places Possibilities & Grey Matters) are available through Apple Music\, YouTube and Spotify. He has been the guitarist for The Assortment since 2006\, playing a wide variety of popular songs from the 1930's on into the 21st century\, as well as many original compositions. Jason also performs solo and\, for two years\, appeared weekly at the Far View Lodge in Mesa Verde National Park. He has lived in Austin\, TX and Nashville\, TN-performing at many popular venues that include The Bluebird Cafe\, Cactus Cafe\, Hotel Indigo\, Douglas Corner\, The Hideout\, Ruta Maya and others. Currently Jason appears regularly at the historic Diamond Belle Saloon in Durango. His 5th album-Ruff Stuff From Chicken Flats-was released last year.
