DESCRIPTION:Step into Durango’s darker history on Horsefly History Tours’ Haunted Tunnel Tour\, a 13+ walking tour that ends beneath downtown inside a historic 19th-century tunnel. This approximately two-hour tour explores some of Durango’s most unsettling true stories\, including violent deaths\, saloon-era crimes\, mysterious events\, and reported paranormal encounters connected to the places you’ll visit along the way. Using historic photographs\, newspaper accounts\, local research\, and stories gathered from people who have worked and lived in these buildings\, your guide will separate documented history from legend while exploring the events that may have given rise to some of Durango’s most persistent hauntings. The final portion of the tour takes you underground into a historic tunnel beneath the El Rancho Tavern\, a location with a long history of unexplained activity and firsthand paranormal reports. This tour is intended for ages 13+ and includes mature Wild West themes\, violence\, death\, and disturbing historical subject matter. Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Ages 13+.
