Ghost Train (walking tour)

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Depot

DESCRIPTION

Take a walk through Durango’s darker side on Horsefly History Tours’ Ghost Train, an all-ages ghost tour filled with true history, local legends, eerie encounters, and some of downtown Durango’s best-known haunted locations.

This approximately one-hour walking tour begins near the historic Durango train depot and winds through downtown as your guide shares stories of railroad tragedies, mysterious deaths, old hotels, saloons, shootouts, and the spirits said to still be walking among us.

You’ll hear about some of Durango’s most colorful characters and haunted buildings while seeing historic photographs and learning the real history behind the ghost stories.

The stories on Ghost Train can be genuinely frightening, in part because many of them are rooted in real events and documented local history. Because this tour is designed for all ages, the material is less graphic than our adults-only Haunted Tunnel Tour, while still exploring Durango’s darker Wild West history, including death, violence, shootouts, outlaws, and unexplained encounters.

Please note: This is a WALKING TOUR, not a train ride.

Approximately 60 minutes.
All ages welcome.
Advance tickets recommended.
