DESCRIPTION
Purgatory Resort will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration at the resort’s base area.
Guests can sample seasonal beers from breweries including Ska Brewing, Telluride Brewing, Prost Brewing, Sierra Nevada, Breckenridge Brewery, New Belgium and others, with nonalcoholic selections from Athletic Brewing also available. Food options will include pretzels, kolaches, brats and other Oktoberfest favorites.
Live music includes Aiko Aiko Sound from 12 to 2:15 p.m. and Black Diamond Breakdown from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oktoberfest games will include cornhole, volleyball, yard pong, Hammerschlagen and Masskrugstemmen.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door and include a 19.5-ounce beer stein and first beer pour at check-in.
A free community shuttle sponsored by Shaw Solar will provide transportation between Durango and Purgatory Resort. The shuttle departs from Shaw Solar, 1479 Highway 3, at 11:30 a.m. and leaves Purgatory at 4:30 p.m. Shuttle seats are free, but advance registration is required.
