As a founder of the Neighbors in Need Alliance (NINA), Caroline Kiner will provide a brief update about NINA as an organization and its funding of the emergency warming center. Mike Todt is the volunteer leader of the warming center and from him we’ll learn about its history and what's upcoming for this coming winter. Visitors welcome.
Caroline is originally from Memphis, TN and later lived in Winston?Salem, NC where she was involved with a Homeless Ministry for 20 years. Having relocated to Durango over 20 years ago, she has served on the boards of Manna, Durango Friends of the Arts and La Plata County Historical Society; and the Vestry of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. In 2019, Caroline and others founded the Neighbors in Need Alliance and she serves as Board Chair.
Mike is a retired clinical psychologist and former CEO of two psychiatric hospitals. He is a past board member for both Manna and the Neighbors in Need Alliance. His career also includes teaching history at West Virginia University and as an executive coach to Fortune 500 company executives. His passions include time with his wife Tammy, biking, hiking, and traveling.
