20th Annual Village Aid Project Celebration
FLC Student Union Ballroom
DESCRIPTION
Since 2005, Fort Lewis College students have partnered with communities around the world to design and build clean water and solar energy systems, tackling real engineering challenges while gaining hands-on experience in global citizenship. Each year, 40 to 50 students take part, with about 30 traveling to build these projects alongside the communities they serve.
This year, we're celebrating two decades of this work. We'll share stories from our recent water and sanitation project in Zambia, hear updates on the Navajo Nation Solar Initiative bringing off-grid power to families in Indigenous communities, and reflect on 20 years of partnership-driven progress, from 80 community partners across the globe to close to home.
Your participation and generosity will support the next chapter of this work, strengthening communities near and far.
Doors: 5:30 PM
Program: 6:00 PM
Join us in the Student Union Ballroom on the Fort Lewis College campus. This event is open to the public. We can't wait to share these updates with you
