Inaugural Tree of the Year Contest

Know of a tree you love seeing, saying hello to, or think is really amazing? Nominate it for the inaugural La Plata County Tree of the Year!
The La Plata Tree Study Group is excited to host this contest to encourage everyone to take a moment to notice and celebrate our arbor neighbors.
Only La Plata County residents can nominate a tree and the tree itself must live in La Plata County on public land or be visible from a public right of way.
The winning tree will be determined by YOU, the voters! Voting is open to anyone. The winning nominator will receive a maple tree courtesy of Momentum Tree Experts – and they’ll plant the tree for you, too! Thank you, Momentum!
Nomination is open from October 1 thru October 15.
Voting is open October 19 thru October 25.
The winner will be announced on Thursday, October 29, at 9:15a on 92.9 The Point.
