24th Diné Studies Conference

Fort Lewis College

DESCRIPTION

This year’s theme, Halee Bee Nánís'dzá — Pathways back to the Homeland.

The Diné Studies Conference brings together knowledge holders, elders, scholars, educators, students, artists, and community members to share, honor, and strengthen Diné knowledge, language, culture, history, and lived experiences. The conference is a space for meaningful exchange across generations and communities, recognizing that Indigenous knowledge is collective—carried through language, stories, relationships, land, experience, and the people who hold and share it.

This year’s theme reflects pathways that orient us toward our homelands and the knowledge, relationships, and responsibilities that connect us to them. Together, we will create space to listen, learn, reflect, and consider how Diné knowledge continues to shape our communities and future generations.

Registration Information:
• Same-day registration is available throughout the conference.
• Registration includes lunch and refreshments for all three days of the conference.
• Special registration rates are available for students and elders.
• Fort Lewis College students attend for free - volunteers are welcome!

There will also be vendors in the student union plaza sharing their art, crafts and creations throughout the conference!

Whether you are a longtime participant or joining us for the first time, we invite you to be part of this important gathering and the continued sharing of Diné knowledge.
