DESCRIPTION
Delve into the remarkable world of food pathways and cultural landscapes in this unique, day long, pop-up workshop. Guided by Reyna Banteah (Zuni) of Ts'uyya Farm, Katrina Blair of Turtle Lake Refuge, and Crow Canyon's own Rebecca Renteria, you'll embark on a field trip into the San Juan Mountains while learning about past and present ecosystems, then return to the high desert to create delectable treats at Crow Canyon's campus near Cortez, CO. Throughout the day we explore the cultural significance of plants, and ethics of gathering while learn about essential nutrients, and how cuisine with wild foods boosts our vitality, provides medicine, and feeds our souls.
