Repair Café

DESCRIPTION
Don't despair, repair! Bring your wobbly chairs, tattered shirts, malfunctioning bicycles, and toasters on-the-blink to the Repair Café. A crew of volunteers will be on-hand to help you diagnose and fix your things.

Volunteers will help you troubleshoot your broken thing, and provide a prescription for how it can be repaired. When possible, volunteers will help you make on-site, real-time repairs—and send you home with a fixed thing. For other repairs, like those that require specialized replacement parts, the prescription will guide you through what's needed to repair the item.

What to Know
The Repair Café is intended to help repair small and common items:
- Bicycle problems (like tire, gear, and adjustment problems)
- Clothing (like sweaters, pants, and jackets)
- Electronic devices (like phones, tablets, and computers)
- Furniture (like chairs, stools, and tables)
- Home appliances (like toasters, kettles, vacuums)
- Housewares (like lamps and picture frames)
- Outdoor gear (like tents and sleeping pads)

We cannot support repairs on larger items (like cars and washing machines) or on highly specialized items that require special care or tools. Although, for highly specialized items, our volunteers may be able to help you determine best next steps for pursuing a repair.
