From the peaceful to the energetic, the elegant to the downright boisterous, this concert is jam-packed with "light" classics. Spanning nearly three centuries of music, you will recognize your favorites.


Pieces to be performed include: WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART: Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, K. 492
JOHANN STRAUSS II: Thunder and Lightning Polka, Op. 324
JACQUES OFFENBACH: Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld
PYOTR ILYICH TCHAIKOVSKY: Capriccio Italien, Op. 45

Join us for a free pre-concert lecture at 6:00 pm at the Center for Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, presented by Dr. Linda Mack Berven.

This concert is eligible for the Free Student Ticket Program! The Music in the Mountains Free Ticket Program for students offers up to two free student tickets with the purchase of one adult ticket to select festival concerts. If you are interested in securing free student tickets, please do not place your order online. These orders must be placed over the phone at (970) 385-6820 or in person at the Festival Office (515 E.
