osiah Payne and Michael Money met at a campfire jam in the Oregon coast range in June, 2010. Their eclectic tastes were instantly apparent, as they ripped through jazz standards, early punk rock covers, old folk songs, celtic fiddle tunes, raging acoustic metal, and god knows what else.

Their musical mission is to channel all of that, from a predominately acoustic perspective, through mostly original material. Their focus is on producing music that has a raw qualitly that immediately speaks to the listener to convey energetic, danceable melodies and lyrics that weave stories of inner self discovery, everyday hardships, love and heartbreak, and the joys of libation!

Josiah and Michael bring years of diverse musical experience to the table in this new project. Josiah started playing the mandolin at age 11, and by age 16 had won the Rockygrass and National mandolin competitions. From 2000 to 2007 he was the lead member of the nationally touring band "The Hot Strings" (www.myspace.com/thehotstrings) winning two nationally know band contests, recording an album, "Uncharted" (audio streaming available at the itunes store) engineered by Brent Truit (The Dixie Chicks) and produced by Pat Flynn (former Newgrass Revival guitarist). After The Hot Strings he had gone on to play in various other bluegrass, folk and indie groups including Portland-based Indie band Jared Mees and the Grown Children and current member of Wayward Vessel (www.myspace.com/waywardvessel).

Micheal Money has been an avid flatpick guitarist for the last 8 years as well as a multi-instrumentalist, and talented songwriter writing accesable songs that connect with listener in the true spirit of folk music. He has previously toured with, and regularly sits in with the nationally touring "Brown Chicken Brow Cow String Band" (bcbcsb.com).
