DESCRIPTION
For over 100 years the iconic coalfired, steam powered train traveling from Durango to Silverton has been a gateway into the extraordinary scenic route between the two Western Slope locales, but it hasn’t been until the last 5 years that the truly kinetic Durango Blues Train has transformed the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad into a 3 ½ hour festival on wheels.

Heralded as SBG Productions’ live music event unlike any other in the country, this "moving" experience places passengers intimately next to six Blues, Rock and Zydeco acts each night of its run through the canyons of Colorado’s San Juan National Forest. Inspired artists fill vintage coach cars with their lively music as passengers dance and enjoy libations from Telluride Brewing Company, Ska Brewing plus select wines, and are free to move between rail cars to catch all the performers! Held twice annually in May and August, this is a “must do” for any dedicated audiophile and train enthusiast with an adventurous bucket list.
