The Durango-La Plata County Airport is hosting a second annual Aviation Celebration!

Approximately 1,800 people attended last year’s inaugural event, and it was warmly received by individuals of all ages from around the region.

The Celebration is structured as an opportunity for members of the community to view military and private aircraft displays, talk to pilots, and learn about the airport and its role in the regional economy. Admission to this event is free to the public and parking is also free. The headliner for this year’s show is the US Army Golden Knights parachute jump team, who will be performing an exciting skydiving routine. The Celebration will also include food vendors, a beer tent, music, activities for children, fire & rescue equipment tours, airport snow removal equipment tours, and door prizes.
