Event description: The primary goals of this annual conference are to educate the public and other stakeholders on the science and policy of mining, mine lands remediation, and water quality as it relates to non-point source pollution, improving mining practices, and addressing water quality impairments through workshops, field tours, and presentations. This year the conference will be held in Durango with a field tour to the Silverton mining district.

8/3/16 – Animas River Celebration – Powerhouse Science Center 5:30pm- 8pm, Free and open to the public
8/4/16 – All day conference – Double tree hotel 8:30am – 5pm, $45 includes lunch and field tour day, open to the public
8/5/16 – Silverton mining district field tour, meet at the Double Tree Hotel at 8am to carpool, price included in the conference registration. Optional $15 bagged lunch, open to the public. We will return around 5pm to Durango.
