DESCRIPTION
This workshop will cover facts and statistics about agriculture in Southwest Colorado and dryland farming in particular, the challenges of dryland farming, and ideas about how to enhance the sustainability of dryland farming. The use of cover crops to reduce soil erosion, enhance soil fertility and biological activity and the suppression of weeds will be covered. These workshops are provided for farmers, landowners, backyard and community gardeners, and the general public. This workshop is most applicable to dryland farmers.
