This November Pub Science talk will focus on medical research in the world of cannabinoids as therapeutic agents. Steve Ottersberg, trained in drug- design, will cover pertinent published literature pertaining to the therapeutic potential of cannabinoids. Ottersberg will discuss the endocannabinoid system (yes, our body makes cannabinoids) and the receptors, CB1 and CB2 (yes, we have receptors for cannabinoids), that are activated or attenuated by cannabinoids.
