The famous “Note-By-Note” Steinway, the famous Spirio Steinway, and the Steinway construction tour will all visit Roshong Recital Hall at Fort Lewis College. Please join us for this very exciting and free event!

5:00pm: Community and College students perform an informal piano recital on the famous “Note-By-Note” Steinway.

6:00pm: Informal Question and Answer session concerning the Steinway Construction Tour and Informal playing of the “Note-By-Note” Steinway.

6:30pm: Showing of the Note-By-Note Documentary. This video takes the viewer through the step-by-step building of a Steinway D concert grand from choosing wood to final regulation. There will also be a large construction model onstage so everyone can see close-up the inside of a concert grand.

7:50pm: Steinway specialist Barry Damerell will discuss and demonstrate the famous Spiro piano. The Spirio is a high resolution digital player piano, which recreates historical performances with the touch of an iPad.
