Scenes from the Musical Stage, led by our voice instructor, Dr. Kerry Ginger, makes its concert debut on November 30th at 7:00pm in Roshong Recital Hall. Soloists from both the voice studio the newly formed Scenes troupe will perform art song and musical theatre selections. They’ll stage scenes from Leonard Bernstein's Candide, Kander and Ebb's Chicago, Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, Sarah Bareilles' Waitress, and Offenbach's La Périchole. The minimal stage designs mean the bulk of the magic comes from the performers. Dr. Ginger has instituted a fantastic audience experience with the addition of supertitles at the top of the stage for translations. This technique allows the audience member to see both the translations and the performance, something I truly enjoy. This is a free performance.
