The next Locals Day at Durango Mountain Resort will benefit the Durango Independent Film Festival and it’s media literacy programs in local schools. Locals Day is Sunday, February 12. Lift tickets are $40 for adults, $32 for students (ages 13-18), and $25 for kids (12 and under), A coupon must be presented at the ticket window for the locals day discount. Coupons are available on line at www.durangofilm.org and in the February 9th issue of the Durango Telegraph. DIFF works with over 800 local students to present films, filmmakers, classroom curriculum and panel discussions. Ignacio and Durango schools participate in the program. Après Ski events will take place at Purgy’s from 3-5 with DIFF ticket and merchandise give-aways and a sneak peak at some of this year’s adventure films. The Durango Independent Film Festival is February 29-March 4.
