Over 150 cities have declared June 2nd as Gun Violence Awareness Day, a movement championed by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a part of Everytown for Gun Safety.

Here in Durango, our Mayor and City Council have designated Friday, June 2, as Durango Gun Violence Awareness Day.

We can observe this day by wearing orange on June 2, but also by coming out for the Wear Orange Rally at Buckley Park.
