DESCRIPTION
Steven Edenbo will portray the 3rd U.S. President, Thomas Jefferson. The title of the talk will be, “Seizing the Fugitive Occurrence.” An American Founding Father, author of the Declaration of Independence and statesman, he had vision and took actions which directed the course of westward expansion and influenced the form of the American West more than any other President. The 1803 Louisiana Purchase and the western explorations of Lewis and Clark are pivotal turning points in the making of the U.S. and, in particular, the West.

Mr. Edenbo holds a degree in English from Dickinson College and since 1999 has been portraying Thomas Jefferson at Monticello and Independence Hall as well as for groups such as the DAR, American Legion and the National Governor’s Association, making appearances at the National Archives, the University of Virginia, and for state bar associations and continuing legal education programs as well as an appearance on the History Channel and Steven Cobert’s “The Colbert Report.”
