Tracking Workshop with Durango Nature Studies
Sat, September 23, 2017
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
One of the most valuable ways to connect and learn about a natural area is through a sit spot. A sit spot is where a person chooses a location in a natural area and sits there observing the world around them. Famous naturalist and tracker, Jon Young has referred to a sit spot as the “magic pill†for nature connection. Join naturalist, Grace Gordon, at the Nature Center and learn about the power of sit spots. Through sit spots we will learn about animal behavior and continue honing our tracking skills. (It is recommended but not required that you participate in session 1 and 2.)
Free for members and kids under 12. $10 for non members
