DESCRIPTION
Ever wonder what the birds are saying? The vast and complicated calls of birds make up the world of bird language. Join naturalist, Grace Gordon, at the Durango Nature Center to learn the meaning behind the various calls and songs of the birds. After investigating the bird language heard, participants will learn how to create a map of animal activity at the Nature Center based on those calls. (It is recommended but not required that you participate in session 1, 2, and 3.) (Please note, this workshop is not focused on bird-song identification, instead, the focus will be on bird-song meaning.) To register contact Grace Gordon at (740) 504-3398 or grace@durangonaturestudies.org Free for members and kids under 12, $10 for non members To pay online visit http://durangonaturestudies.org/programs/community-workshops/ Event information, including dates and times, is subject to change.
