Now seeking actors for Durango Arts Center Theatre’s production of Five Women Wearing the Same Dress by Alan Ball.
Directed by Kristin Skye Hoffmann.
Set in the early 90s during an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville, Tennessee, estate, five reluctant, identically clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. As the afternoon wears on, these five very different women joyously discover a common bond in this wickedly funny, irreverent and touching celebration of the women’s spirit.
Seeking 5 bridesmaids and an usher:
Women ages 18-50, Men ages 18-40. We will provide sides from the script.
No previous acting experience necessary.
All ethnicities encouraged to apply.
Auditions will occur on Thursday, January 18 at 6-8pm with callbacks on Friday, January 19 6-8pm.
