Narrow Gauge Day (May 4) is the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's annual event to kick off the beginning of service to Silverton the following day (May 5). The entire community is invited to attend this event. A complimentary lunch and live music will be offered. 2018 represents the 20th anniversary of American Heritage Railway's purchasing the Durango & Silverton Railroad. The day's events and activities will be centered around this 20th anniversary.
