Do you love working with children or being outdoors? Looking for experience teaching environmental science? Join Durango Nature Studies this Spring as a Volunteer Naturalist!
Durango Nature Studies brings elementary and middle schools from Durango and the four corners region to our 140-acre nature center for half-day field trips. Each program aligns to Colorado Science Standards and engages students in hands on, scientific inquiry outdoors. After attending our 18 hour professional training, volunteers will lead our educational hikes for small groups of students during weekday mornings throughout April and May.
2018 Spring training will be held over three days, starting with our evening orientation:
March 21st: 6pm-8:30pm @ the Durango Public Library
March 23rd: 8am - 4pm @ the Durango Nature Center
March 24th: 8am- 4pm @ the Durango Nature Center
