DESCRIPTION
In “Pushing the Limits: Heritage” we explore the things we leave for future generations—from landscapes to heirlooms. A video short will take us to Hawaii where we meet a master luthier who produces ukuleles and maintains a plot of native forest. And we will find out why the journal Nature says “Hope Jahren is the voice that science has been waiting for,” in the sensational book “Lab Girl.” Please join us for a discussion, tea, coffee, and food with Fort Lewis College Associate Professor of Biology, Dr. Heidi Steltzer. Find sign-up details about this program in the Ignacio Community Library events calendar and get your free copy of “Lab Girl.” “Pushing the Limits is a reading, viewing, and discussion program for adults in communities served by rural libraries, made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation.”
