Since 1992, Creativity Festivity has served as our community’s annual celebration of learning through the arts. The event showcases children’s imaginative work in art, theatre, poetry, and music. This year’s theme is Pathways to Imagination.

Throughout the two week celebration, DAC hosts events and opportunities for local youth to share their work with the greater arts community in Durango. Activities during Creativity Festivity include an exhibit featuring work of k-12th-grade students in the Barbara Conrad Gallery, a writing contest for 4th and 5th grades, Durango High School’s beloved annual poetry slam, and a special youth theatre production.

The DAC theater group Applause! is going to present the musical Giants in the Sky as the theater presentation for Creativity Festivity. Show dates run from April 13th – 17th.
