Enrollment is officially open for Colorado Connections Academy schools for the 2018-19 school year and the first in-person information session in Durango will be on Tuesday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Durango (501 Camino Del Rio). This free in-person information session allows attendees to learn about the curriculum, meet with Colorado Connections Academy faculty and thoroughly explore the school’s program. Colorado Connections Academy schools are a network of full-time, tuition-free statewide online public schools. Colorado Connections Academy @ Durango, authorized by the Durango School District 9-R, opened in the 2016-17 school year for students statewide and currently serves 550 students in grades K-11. In the 2018-19 school year, Colorado Connections Academy @ Durango will expand to serve students in 12th grade. Colorado Connections Academy schools offer students who need an alternative to the traditional classroom the flexibility to learn from anywhere with an Internet connection and enjoy a well-rounded student experience. Both schools are supported by Connections Academy and are open to students statewide regardless of where they live in Colorado. Because both are public schools, there are no tuition costs or fees to attend.
