Learn a Practical Approach to a Realistic Portrait $125 This class will focus on the grisaille method of oil painting. In the class we will cover: * what a grissaille is * variations like the brunaille and the verdaille methods, and each application * variations on washes, glazes, and veilings. * finish a grissaille painting and begin color layering Learn to paint from photos as if they were live models. The focus in this class will be on realism. Explore the techniques that bring your portrait paintings to life. Instruction is relaxed and class size is limited. Explore in depth how to use drawing, color mixing and oil paint application to create realism. Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to come and learn. When: Saturday, May 19, 2018 10:00am – 4:00pm. Please arrive 20 minutes early so we have the full use of our time together. What We Provide: Canvas and supporting materials, image to work from. What You Need to Bring: Water Mixable Oil Paints, Water Mixable Linseed Oil, Brushes, Bag lunch and comfy clothes. Your own image to work from, if you prefer.
