Brooke Smith was born in Santa Cruz, California, spent five years on Kaua’I and finally settled near Durango, Colorado where she lives in the mountains with her husband and children.The Mango Tree is the second of Brooke’s children’s books. She is involved in various community organizations and works at the the Pine River Library in Bayfield.
