This film festival focuses mostly on winter sports and backcountry experiences. Durango Nature Studies is a member of the Winter Wildlands Alliance because of our educational snowshoe programs. This partnership allows us to host the Backcountry Film Festival each year. We are now going on our 7th year bringing the Backcountry Film Festival to Durango. These films will inspire you and remind all of us — the young and young-at-heart of the thrill of being outside in ALL seasons.
