The 2019 Elks National Hoop Shoot (Free Throw Shooting Contest) - Colorado West District Contest will be held on January 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Lewis College in Whalen Gymnasium. The participants will be the Girls and Boys winners from Durango, Cortez, Telluride, Ouray, Hotchkiss, Grand Junction, Montrose, and Delta.

Representing Durango Elks Lodge #507 will be Girls: Elizabeth Mytko (8-9), Ryne Neiman (10-11), and Carter Neiman (12-13). Boys: Thunder Windy Boy (8-9), Mason Miller (10-11), and Trajan Garcia (12-13).

The District winners will advance to the State contest in Salida on February 23, 2019 with the opportunity to continue on to Regionals in Denver on March 16, 2019 and Nationals in Chicago on April 27, 2019.
