2019 marks the silver anniversary of La Plata Open Space Conservancy's annual Colorado Wine and Craft Spirits Tasting Party and Silent Auction, one of the most fun and sophisticated events of Durango's Snowdown Winter Celebration.
No matter how cold it is outside on the evening of January 31, we expect it to be hot inside Mutu's Italian Kitchen, our great venue again this year. That's the result of a sell-out crowd reveling over La Plata Open Space Conservancy's great work, their shared community connections, the great menu featuring donated Sunnyside Meats, Inc. and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Durango, CO treats, and Colorado craft spirits distilled by the good people at Durango-based Durango Craft Spirits and Honey House Distillery, Peach Street Distillers from Palisade, and Wood's High Mountain Distillery, llc from Salida. And don't worry beer or wine enthusiasts, we have you covered too with donated Ska Brewing beer and wine from Animas Wine & Spirits.
If you want to be part of this fun and rewarding event, you’d better act quickly to reserve your spot (we maintain a list rather than issuing paper tickets), as we’re sure it will sell out faster than previous years. Admission can be reserved now through our website at http://www.lposc.org/snowdown-tickets/. If the tempting edibles and libations don’t get you excited, maybe some of the incredible silent auction and raffle items will. You can see a partial listing of them on our website at http://www.lposc.org/2019-snowdown/. Noteworthy among our auction and raffle items is an NRS Outlaw Raft (http://bit.ly/2AJHapY) generously donated by Board member Adam Reeves of gold-level underwriter Maynes Bradford Shipps & Sheftel LLP. The Board is selling $10 raffle tickets for the boat now. Those who cannot attend the event – one need not be present to win – can purchase tickets by contacting the offices of La Plata Open Space Conservancy at info@lposc.org.
