Learn the basics of encaustic painting and incorporating them into your practice. Students will learn how to make their own wax mediums and mix colors and what materials are required, fusing, embedding into encaustic, how to do a pour, working with batik stamp, image transfer, techniques with the blowtorch and heatgun and making building a layer of encaustic without a stable substrate.
