The Fort Lewis College Political Science Club, Pi Sigma Alpha, has organized a talk with guest speaker Tom Goldtooth to discuss Earth Jurisprudence, a concept that seeks direct legal rights and representation for the Earth, and thus protects the legal rights of nature. Goldtooth is a Native American social and environmental rights activist and is the director of the Indigenous Environmental Network, an organization that was very active during the Dakota Access Pipeline protests. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
