Maria's Bookshop and Studio & will co-host a book signing and hands-on experiential lettering session. Martinez will sign books and give a lettering demo based on styles found in her book and in her online classes at www.LetsLetterTogether.com.

Lettering Journey is a how-to lettering exemplar book inspired by a cross-country trip Martinez and her husband took after leaving Washington, DC where she worked as a visual practitioner. Designed with the visual practitioner in mind, the lettering styles in the book are applicable for many professional uses including live capture for those who facilitate, train, lead or attend meetings in the workplace, and for artists and DIYers who want to improve their handwriting. The book includes eight lettering styles complete with recommended tools, ductus, and examples of practical applications.

The first 12 participants will receive a free pouch of Neuland Markers and a seat in the lettering experiential where Heather will demo how to make the letters in her book. Anyone who buys her book at the event will be entered to win a free 1:1 lettering session ($125 value) and other prizes.
