The Durango Botanical Society's Annual Bulb Sale will be held on Saturday, October 19th at the La Plata County Fairgrounds! This event is FREE!! This year, we have ordered over 10,000 bulbs directly from Holland that are suited for Durango's challenging climate. As in the past, Mike Smedley will start the day at 9:00 am with his entertaining talk about bulbs. At 10:00, the doors will open for the sale. In the past, all of the bulbs have been purchased by noon, so plan ahead for what you would like to buy. New this year is a link allowing you to see what bulbs have been ordered, their bloom times and colors so you can plan what you want to purchase to customize your own garden! Check it out! If you really want to see what is available, join us at the Durango Public Library on Friday 18th to package and label all the bulbs! Hours will be posted at a later date.
