The Chakras are vibrating wheels, or vortices, or energy in the body that receive and distribute life force energy, or prana. But how do the Chakras function, and how can we utilize our understanding of the Chakras to enhance our daily lives? This 2-day course includes both in-depth lecture and applied yogic practices designed to demystify the Chakra System and to foster the integration of Chakra-balancing practices into daily life. Participants will gain an understanding of the functionality of each Chakra, how to recognize when one or more Chakra is imbalanced, and how to address these imbalances through yoga asana, pranayama, and other practices.
This course includes the following three sessions:
Part 1 - Friday, Aug. 23, 5:30--7:30 pm
Open Chakra-tuning practice. Drop-ins welcome.
Part 2 - Saturday, Aug. 24, 11:00 am--1:00 pm
