Backcountry Experience is celebrating five years of the Women Outside Adventure Forum, March 24-26, 2020. Join us for three nights of storytelling from badass adventurers, athletes, scientists, and authors. All proceeds benefit the San Juan Citizens Alliance. Featuring: Tuesday, March 24 - Annette McGivney and Tracy Ross (Free admission) Annette McGivney is the author of the National Outdoor Book Award winning title Pure Land. She is also the Southwest Editor for Backpacker Magazine and her writing regularly appears in Outside, Arizona Highways, and The Guardian. Tracy Ross’ essay “The Source of All Things” won the National Magazine Writing Award in 2009 and was later extended into a book of the same name. Tracy is also an editor at Backpacker Magazine who's assignments have taken her to the wilds of Alaska, the ski slopes of Iran, and the most remote reaches of Ecuador.
