Durango High School's Native American Club is cohosting a powwow on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Durango High School to commemorate National Native American Heritage Month of November. This one-day event will include gourd dance sessions, category dance contests, and a Native Arts Market (open to public and free to browse, $1 admission for all into powwow). During the powwow, graduating high school students and military veterans (regardless of nationality) in attendance will be honored. Our reach extends beyond the local Native American community, and our wish is that much of Durango will visit this cultural event.
