Neil Pearlman and Colin Cotter, longtime musical co-conspirators and stalwart upstarts in the Celtic music scene, are reconnecting to showcase their solo projects side-by-side. Neil's solo piano set will feature a number of unique pieces he has collected and composed, drawing on influences from Scottish and Cape Breton traditions, jazz improvisation and more. Accompanying himself on guitar and fiddle, Colin will present an array of songs he has written and arranged along with some of his current favorites of folk songs. While this performance is centered around two solo performances, rest assured there will be plenty of collaboration scattered throughout between the two! Colin has toured internationally both as a band leader and accompanist on guitar, and teaches regularly at some of the top folk music camps in the US. Neil was called a tremendous pianist on BBC Radio Scotland and is in high demand across the Celtic world for his distinctive approach to piano accompaniment.
