Backcountry Experience is celebrating five years of the Women Outside Adventure Forum, March 24-26, 2020. Join us for three nights of storytelling from badass adventurers, athletes, scientists, and authors. All proceeds benefit the San Juan Citizens Alliance. Featuring: Thursday, March 26 - Environmental Scientist and Explorer Dr. Heidi Steltzer Heidi Steltzer is an environmental scientist and explorer. She has sought opportunities to go places others don’t go, conducting research in the mountains and Arctic. A professor at Fort Lewis College, Heidi recently made news when she testified before Congress about climate change. Join us for a special presentation about Heidi’s recent work in China, studying the impacts of climate change on Himalayan snowpack. 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Eolus $30, ticket includes 1 drink plus hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds benefit the San Juan Citizens Alliance.
