Safely and responsibly dispose of hazardous and hard-to-dispose of household products. La Plata County and the City of Durango will host a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. Included: home cleaning supplies, painting and garden supplies, automotive fluids, batteries, propane tanks and small electronics. Ammunition and other explosives, biowaste, radioactive waste and large electronic items such as televisions, CRTs, refrigerators and other items containing Freon, will not be accepted.
