La Plata Open Space Conservancy will host a weed mitigation workshop as part of its Southwest Stewardship Series. La Plata County’s Weed Control Manager, Ben Bain, will discuss identification and management best practices for common species in our area. Chemical, mechanical, and biological control methods will all be addressed. The workshop will take place about 20 minutes south of Durango and directions will be provided to registrants. The event is free of charge and open to all landowners and interested community members, but registration is required.
