The Durango Arts Center welcomes back audiences to one of the first live, in-person, indoor theatrical events in Durango: the inaugural performance of the newest improv group in town in "The Origin Story."
The Durango Arts Center Seats are sold in blocks of two for $10 a piece ($20 total) to promote COVID best-practices.
Doors open at 7:00pm; Show begins at 7:30pm.
Full bar available.
Runtime approx. 1 hour 15 min, with an intermission.
The company consists of six veteran improv artists with experience performing across Colorado and beyond, including at the Second City, UCB, the Voodoo Theater, Bovine Metropolis Theater, and Durango Dot Comedy.
The group specializes in "long form" improv, where audience suggestions become 20-minute scenes, with characters and relationships formed on the spot. Performers collaborate in real-time to bring you laughter from unchartered territory.
As our "Origin Story," the cast will be searching during the performance for the ever elusive "improv group name." If your suggestion ends up as the group's name, you'll win a pair of tickets to the next show!
