Outside at the Museum. Even though the building will be closed to the public, we will continue to celebrate living history and the La Plata County heritage of sheep with costumed interpreters demonstrating spinning, weaving, and natural dyeing.
Kids will be able to try their hands at related crafts. Dr. Ruth Lambert will speak at 11 a.m. about arborglyphs, the carvings left by sheep herders on aspen trees.
At 1 p.m., Dr. Andrew Gulliford will have a book signing and speak about his book "The Woolly West". All events will be outdoors and masks and social distancing will be encouraged.
